Girls in Jeans When you walk down any street in most parts of the world, you can see a huge amount of boys and girls in jeans, well basically you can see that they are worn by people of all age groups and races. And it wasn't any different in the past. They were hugely popular among workers in factories during World War II, while during the 1960s they were mostly worn by teenagers.
So it's not only girls in jeans we can see on the streets. I think what makes them so popular is that they are very adjustable. You can wear them with almost anything. You can wear them with some smart blouse or T- shirt, with high heels or wellingtons. And they can be worn almost anywhere. Even if they are mainly known as a form of casual dress, you can wear them to work as well. But you can still find some places, like theatres or some restaurants, where wearing denim is not allowed.
I think we can consider jeans to be that piece of clothing that can be found in almost every wardrobe. And not only one pair. Because they come in different styles and colours, as well as different cuts, rises, fits and washes that forces us to have more than one pair.
As there are so many different styles and cuts, the most important question is how to choose the right one? Because I think I can speak for most girls and say that we want to be recognized as girls in jeans that compliment our body. And we definitely don't want to be one of those girls who try to squeeze themselves into ones that are too small.
So for you to be able to answer the question 'How to choose the right pair?', first of all you would have to find out what body shape you are. And that will help you to choose the right fit and cut. If your body type is pear and you want to be one of those great looking girls in jeans, mine advice would be – avoid skinny ones. Why? Because they will draw attention to those tights and hips of yours. And you want to achieve the exact opposite. So those that will suit you the most will be boot cut and flared jeans, preferably in darker colours.
If you have an hourglass figure you can wear boot cut jeans as they are suitable for most body types. You can also wear some stretch denim jeans with larger hips and smaller waist.
If you see girls in jeans who have a rectangle figure, you might notice that the ones who know what suits them wear those with low – rise or straight – legged ones. The great thing about straight – legged ones is that if you tuck them into your boots they will even out your figure.
And if your body shape is apple, you want to draw attention from your waist to your legs. You can achieve that with those that have a flat front and back pockets.
So based on all those facts we can definitely say that denim is a great phenomenon. Some pieces of clothing, like for example leggings, come and go, but jeans will be popular no matter what is currently 'in'. And if you want to be one of those girls in jeans who feel confident and comfortable in what they're wearing, I have one advice for you – find out what body shape you are and choose wisely according to that type. Remember that we can all look great if we choose the right pair.
Sue Clark has bought a few pair of jeans in her life that look totally unflattering on her. And why? Because she always thought that jeans of all styles and fits will suit her. So it cost her some money to understand that only the right pair of jeans will disguise all her flaws. Don't make the same mistake. Find out what body shape you are and click on Girls in Jeans to choose the right pair for you.
