Don’t be a Victim of Fashion Trends

When it comes to fashion I know what I like and what I don’t like. I do like clothes but I don’t like clothes shopping - too many stores, too many clothes and not enough time. So if you are like me I have one good tip – always make sure you know what you want to buy before hitting the stores or checking the web sites.

You can use different fashion magazines as an inspiration. But don’t try to recreate the look from top to bottom at all costs. Remember not everything that is according to fashion trends will suit you. It’s important to find out what suits you and how to wear it. I know that sometimes it might be difficult but try to be objective about your body and that can help you to wear clothes that compliment your body. If for example you have curvy hips, you should wear bootlegs trousers rather than skinny one. On the other hand if you are a skirt sort of person always adjust the length of your skirts and dresses to your height.

It’s also important to learn how to hide the relevant parts of your body and leave something to imagination. Don’t go around half naked even if it might be appreciated by male population. Also take your age into account. Even if the clothes you wear can be expression of who you want to be you can’t look like a 16 year old student for ever.

I don’t know about you but I don’t have time to follow constantly changing fashion trends. Should the shoes and the purse be matching? Should we use the belt to stop trousers from falling down or as an accessory to dresses and sweaters? Should we wear jeans with bottom down or should we turn the bottom above the ankle? But does it all really matter? I think when it comes to fashion trends the most important think is that no matter what you wear, if it’s trendy or not, you should feel good about yourself. Dress for yourself. Don’t try to look exactly the same as millions of other women. Be brave and be unique. Show your own fashion statement. If you feel like it use clothes to turn yourself into somebody else. So who are you going to be tomorrow?
